After match comments
Head coach of the team Lithuania Antanas Vingiliys:
– I'm satisfied with the result of the game but not with its quality. The same can be said about the whole tournament. We had only one scoring moment and we are lucky that we scored. But that's not enough for us. So there is nothing to be proud of. All in all, that was the fourth match in eight days, players are tired and it's already difficult to play for them. However, as the coach, I can see those who really work hard, plan their every movement and those who are just running here and there without thinking what to do. It also has some positive to think about.
Head coach of the team Latvia Vladimirs Babicevs:
– I'm not happy with the results, it's obvious. We let in and lost after two halves of attacking – it's a shame. We lacked resources and motivation. We were losing our chances at standard free kicks. None of the balls from free kicks could find the scorer. It either went in a wrong direction or didn't go at all. It mustn't be so; everything that had been played sketchily at trainings hasn't been used today. And besides it's the lack of composure: they wanted to score back and rushed without thought. This mustn't be, too. To want and to be able – that's what defines the skill, and our players only want for the present, failing to perform.
