logonews2014enFour matches a day to complete the allocation of spots.

The Football Union of Russia has prepared a draft of Regulations for the XXVI Valentin Granatkin Memorial, according to which, within ten days from 3rd to 12th of January 2014 in Peterburgsky Sport and Concert Complex, forty matches will take place.

During preliminary stage, 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups, and from 3rd to 8th of January will hold a round-robin games.

Next, on the play-off stage, teams that will take 1st places in their groups, will compete for the spots from 1st to 4th, teams that will take 2nd places in their groups, will compete for spots from 5th to 8th, teams that will take 3rd places in their groups, will compete for spots from 9th to 12th, and finally, teams that will take 4th places in their groups, will compete for spots from 13th to 16th . That's how the full allocation of spots will be conducted.

On each game day four matches will take place. Matches will start at 12:00, 14:15, 16:30 and 19:00.

From 16 youth national teams that will participate in the XXVI Valentin Granatkin Memorial, which will be held in January 2014, following teams have confirmed their involvement: Belarus, Iran, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Finland, Czech Republic, Estonia and Japan. The home team competition will feature two teams: the Russian national team and the team of St. Petersburg.

For five vacant spots ten teams have taken into consideration by the organizing committee.

The final list of participants will be approved in December 2013.
